چکیده

In this study, the design and analysis of micro beam is carried out using COMSOL multiphysics. The current passing through distributes heat energy due to its resistance that pushes entire desired distance thermal expansion. This expansion varies depending on amount emitted temperature. purpose model created estimate temperature increase required cause displacement in proposed software. addition, displacements data produced beams for different metallic materials (Al, Cu, Ni, Pt) input potentials (0.3 V, 0.6 0.9 V) are reported. These used as functional field micro-electro-mechanical-system because their important physical electrical properties. As a result simulation studies, increasing voltage increased resulting While there serious difference between materials, temperatures close each other. When V applied, highest values Al, Pt are; 7.88 ?m, 5.36 3.62 2.72 respectively. result, it has been observed aluminum gives significant dis?placement geometry when compared other beams.

Modeling Microfluidic Separations using Comsol Multiphysics

Infrared spectroscopy can be used to identify and quantify individual (bio)chemical species within complex mixtures provided the spectroscopic fingerprints are strong enough. It is often the case, however, that the characteristic fingerprints are concealed by the much stronger absorptions of the most concentrated species. For example, in the case of blood serum, the very strong absorptions of p...

Experimentally Matched Finite Element Modeling of Thermally Actuated SOI MEMS Micro-Grippers Using COMSOL Multiphysics

Engineering MEMS devices using finite element analysis can be very rewarding, provided the analysis is valid, i.e. it accurately simulates reality throughout the desired range of input and resultant imposition upon dependent physical properties and behavior. With respect to FEM’s use in MEMS, it is can be very useful. Doped single crystal silicon is a substance whose material and physical prope...

Two-Dimensional PEM Fuel Cells Modeling using COMSOL Multiphysics

A fuel cell has been considered as an efficient and clean alternative power source for automobile industry since the energy crisis forced people to find a substitution for fossil fuels. A proton exchange membrane fuel cell, also known as polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), becomes a prime candidate for applications in vehicles because of its following features: the PEMFC operates at...

Sensitivity Analysis of MEMS Based Piezoresistive Sensor Using COMSOL Multiphysics

The present paper peruses MEMS based piezoresistive pressure sensor and its fabrication techniques. Simulation of the pressure sensor is done by using COMSOL Multiphysics software for P-type silicon piezoresistor. The deflection of N-type silicon diaphragm depends upon the Young’s modulus of the material and varies with the amount of force applied to the diaphragm. The simulation result emphasi...

Normal Mode Analysis of the Chesapeake Bay Using COMSOL Multiphysics

A Normal Mode Analysis (NMA) of the Chesapeake Bay was performed using Neumann boundary conditions and COMSOL MultiPhysics (formerly known as FEMLAB). The lowest 100 eigenstates were calculated and compared to a finite difference solution. Based on the normal modes derived numerically, surface current vector fields can be calculated. The vector fields of the Chesapeake Bay provide tools for the...
